Hong Kong
The Art Basel Shop Hong Kong is now closed
More than just a shop, it’s a vibrant hub that captures the spirit of the global art scene offering visitors a rare opportunity to take home a piece of its creativity.
Designed to celebrate both the dynamic world of art and the unique cultural identity of each host city, the Art Basel Shop presented an exclusive selection of items that reflect the fair’s rich history and forward-thinking vision.
From artist-designed products and original works to brand collaborations, limited-release collectibles, and Art Basel-exclusive merchandise, every piece was carefully curated to connect you with the pulse of contemporary art.
AB by Artist Collection by Guest artist Chan Wai Lap
The AB by Artist Collection featured an exclusive body of work by Hong Kong based artist Chan Wai Lap, created especially for the Art Basel Shop. Rooted in Lap’s long-standing fascination with public swimming pools as spaces that blur the boundaries between public and private, self and other, the pieces center on his LOVEGUARD body of work.
LOVEGUARD imagines care for others as an exercise in safeguarding the hearts, minds, and bodies of others with the vigilance and attentiveness of a lifeguard watching over the water. Balancing humor with thoughtful reflection, the collection brought together a series of personal and collectible objects, including a lifeguard’s uniform (cap, hoodie, shirt, and shorts sold separately), a limited-edition print and frosted totes.

Featured Collaborations
The 2026 season’s highlights included the latest AB by Art Basel releases and the highly anticipated Art Basel Hong Kong Labubu by Kasing Lung. The upcycling pioneer FREITAG debuted an exclusive tote bag edition for the Art Basel Hong Kong shop launch. Inspired by art crate markings and crafted from used truck tarps, the design features hand-screened iconography in pink or black—a nod to the visual language used to protect artwork in transit.
Collectors and art enthusiasts alike appreciated the Marc Jacobs Joy line featuring Derrick Adams, David Shrigley, and Hattie Stewart.
A curated selection of ready-to-hang artist collaborations, produced with world-class print designers, allowed visitors to welcome home Artist highlights.
The Shop showcased works from the digital art community, with highlights including the BitMON by Des Lucréce for Iconic Moments foil-pack release. It also hosted in-store activations and featured exclusive meet-and-greet sessions with artists and authors—creating an immersive experience that unites a global community of art and design enthusiasts.
